Our healing retreat is founded on the philosophy that an intensive integrative experience within a multidisciplinary and holistic therapeutic program is the best way to facilitate healing, growth, and learning. Siikuun can offer a tranquil space to restore emotional, relational, and spiritual health and harmony. Located in a secluded forest, we provide residential care in a safe, peaceful, and home-like environment.

Devoted to marrying various modalities in a sensitive and collaborative approach, we provide a space not only for the treatment of trauma but also for integrating and discovering the intersections between work and trauma, as well as offering a respite for recharging, nurturing, and offering a much needed environment to focus on healing and rebalancing.

Designed in a caring, environmentally friendly and sustainable manner, we are nestled on a peaceful 80 acre property in the rural Lanaudière area, only an hour drive from Montreal. We provide comprehensive care in an intimate and rejuvenating environment in which guests can enjoy peaceful surroundings, natural beauty, and the comforts of home.

We are committed to effective, forward-thinking care that integrates various therapeutic modalities that are rooted in ancient Indigenous and Eastern traditions as well as more modern Western approaches. We offer thoughtful, personalized treatment in a welcoming environment to move our guests toward the clarity, insight, and knowledge they need to find relief from suffering, learn new skills, and integrate sustainable change and release themselves from suffering. With the utmost dignity and respect, we meet you where you are to help you develop a vision for the life you wish to have, and offer the care you need to achieve it.

Founder, Psychologist

Adopting a caring and compassionate approach in her practice, Lorraine is an Eeyou therapist who feels privileged to accompany and help people through their experiences and challenges, marvelling at people’s resilience and spirit.

Through patience, humility, and genuine positive regard, she creates the conditions for deep sharing, real connection, and possibilities for healing. She has an unshakeable desire to empower others to discover the gifts they came to the world to manifest, and believes the foundation for this is kindness, love, and connection.

Martin Goupil

Designer, Builder, Artisan, Steward

A true man of the woods, Martin lovingly crafted and built Siikuun, and his artistic talents spill over into smaller projects, creating and restoring some of the furniture within the space.

Everything he creates is done so with a genuine respect for the source from which it comes - the land - and his passion in caring for our planet is reflected in everything he does, from careful consideration of the forest he manages to the use of environmentally friendly principles in his designs and construction. He feels most alive being on the land and working outdoors.

Rachel Morency Goupil

Creating magic through beautiful, simple ingredients, Rachel delights in building moments of connection, sharing, and community through the meals she carefully prepares.

In her experience, the food is more nutritious and provides for fuller flavour as a result of the relationship you have with the ingredients and their source. She enjoys the potential to create healing through our relationship to what is grown and drawn from the earth, and using these to mend our body, mind, and spirit. She believes that curiosity and consciousness about what we feed ourselves is empowering as it leads to possibility and change.
