Resilience and Care Work
Our Approach
A unique program for those who undertake the difficult work of caring for the wounds of our communities.

Exposure to the suffering of others takes a toll on us personally and professionally. The depth, scope, and causes are different for everyone, but the fact that we are affected by the suffering of others is universal.

It is extremely easy for healers, helpers, and caregivers to overlook ourselves and our care.
The work we do as workers not only impacts our clients but also deeply affects us.

Learn how the difficult situations we experience at work can carry into our personal view of our world and familiarize yourself with your own responses to trauma as well as understand your path of renewal. The tools you learn will bring you back to a place of balance where you can be more effective in your work, more present with your family, and more at peace in your soul.

This program takes you on a journey of self-healing. It provides you with methods to help you get in touch with habits and feelings that no longer serve you, your communities, and your work, and understand that the work you do is sacred. It helps you develop your abilities to care for yourself as much as you care for others.

When in comes to helping others, your most important tool is your own wellbeing!

Goal of the Program
The goal of the program is to begin a more in-depth and broader look at oneself as related to one’s life and work, supporting you to go inward to identify your strengths, and develop more nurturing, self-empowering behaviours and perspectives.
Anyone in the helping professions will benefit from this program. Whether you are in the fields of social work, counselling, justice, addictions, or any work that involves healing and health, this program is for you. We have designed a unique, focused opportunity for you to bring awareness to your mind-body-spirit and to renew the motivation and pleasure in your life and your work, and get in touch with the joys and benefits of being free to be in the present.
